Author of the Declaration of Independence, our second Vice President, and third president, Thomas Jefferson is a founding father whose interests and accomplishments seem to have no end. Whether at home in Monticello, at the White House, or abroad in France, he constantly observed and recorded information about the weather, natural history, and activity in his garden. He often carried a notebook with ivory pages in which he could record observations, later transcribe into a journal, and then erase and use again.
Here, Jefferson is shown carrying his notebook and writing instruments. Exclusive to GiftCollector and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, as is the Monticello house.
