Herend China was founded in Hungary in 1826, and it quickly became the largest porcelain manufacturer in Europe. Their elegant products received the trust and support of European aristocracy and art connoisseurs right from the beginning, with Queen Victoria being a major fan. Most of rulers of 19th and 20th century Europe owned Herend pieces or received them as royal gifts. This popularity among the rich and famous has continued, and Herend pieces are now owned and collected by people from all walks of life all over the world.

Herend was formally introduced in America in 1957. The trademark fishnet pattern became Herend’s signature design on all their figurines and quickly became a collector’s dream.
