Umbria (oom'bree*ah) is a region in Italy famous for ornate designs and rich Italian colors infulenced by early traders for the east who travelled through Venice. The four intricate border patterns are created in Italian Renaissance style using techniques from the 16th century. Deruta is a classic floral while Pavone suggests a peacock's tail. Perugia features a Renaissance plume and Spello a double Italian scroll. Deruta, Pavone, Perugia and Spello mix beautifully and are resplendent alone.
Most pieces may be washed in the dishwasher on the low energy/air dry cycle, however hand washing will prolong the beauty of VIETRI products.
