Milestone by Mottahedeh Blue Torquay

Clinging to the coast of Devon in southern England is the elegant resort town of Torquay, renowned for its climate and its abundant marine life. The shells and entwined sea grasses inspire the Swansea potters who flourished between 1764 and 1846. This 1820 English transferware reproduction is from the Winterthur museum, the estate of the Dupont family.
