Limited Edition of 25. Originally manufactured by the Alt Wein Porcelain Manufactory, the Tulip vase was replicated by Herend in the early 1900s and then reintroduced to great success in pink coloration in 2007 and yellow coloration in 2008. The vase itself in both shape and decoration is an example of Secession style (what the Art Nouveau movement was called in Vienna). This school of design was richly ornamental embracing asymmetrical, flowing lines and often incorporating stylized plant motifs. Behind the scenes, the vase is a complex dance between its impressive height and its delicate features which is accomplished through skillful design and carefully sculpted components.
