Portmeirion’s Newest Design, Hydrangea

GiftCollector has been an authorized retailer of Portmeirion dinnerware and serving ware for over 20 years. In those many years we have seen lots of new introductions for the beloved Portmeirion Botanic Garden dinnerware line. This year the new design is the Hydrangea flower. Since this is the new 2012 edition, one can order this design by itself in the dinner plate or mandarin shaped mug. Also new for 2012, is the Exotic Flower collection. This has been a very popular line since its introduction earlier this year. The colors are more intense than the traditional Botanic Garden designs, but still offer beautiful detail and artistry in the rendering of the design.

One important aspect to mention about Portmeirion Botanic Garden in general is that most of the dinnerware items are still made in England. Most English china companies long ago stopped producing fine china in England. Portmeirion still owns their factories which enables them to keep their high quality standards that their customers expect from their products.

At GiftCollector we get calls all the time from customers that not only collect the dinnerware for use in the kitchen, they also collect it for their home decor. One can create a beautiful wall hanging collection depicting each of the designs from the Botanic Garden or Pomona product lines. We came across this creative and charming way to display your Botanic Garden collection even if you don’t have a century old kitchen hutch. Check this out, The Cutest Blog on the Block has taken off her kitchen cabinet doors and backed the cabinets with inexpensive paper to create a back drop for the dinnerware. Portmeirion definitely has the look that can cross over from dinnerware to home decor. How do you display your Portmeirion Botanic Garden collection?

Now at GiftCollector we have a free shipping special on Portmeirion orders over $199.
